Centre College’s Student Service Initiative (known as STAND) is hosting a presentation by Dr. Yang Jianli, a prominent human rights and democracy advocate, on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. in Weisiger Theatre. Titled From Tiananmen To Today “A Journey to Shine Light On Truth,” Yang will speak about his experiences at the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests, as well as his decades of advocacy both in and out of China.
